All the way back in 2011 I shot a most marvelous wedding with Alden and Lou. With wonderful locations, perfect weather and a cohort of amazing people, their big day was something to behold!
We started the day by shooting the bridal preparations, and quickly moved on to Newton Church for the ceremony and formal portraits. Newton Church is a beautiful 12th century church, located in the village of Newton, a little to the east of Porthcawl. It was a beautiful ceremony, and from there we moved onto Newton beach and Porthcawl pier for some photographs with the bride and groom. For a Bridgend wedding photographer, this made life easy!
The reception venue was St Johns School, in Newton. An enormous marquee welcomed the guests on arrival, and the wonderful weather was put to good use with drinks on the lawns.

I’m a professional wedding photographer based in the Bridgend, Cardiff and Swansea areas. I’ve been shooting wedding photography professionally for the last 12 years since I left university, where I studied photography. I studied photography for three years full time, so you can be assured I know how to take a great picture.
Apart of my wedding photography and freelance photography work, I also lecture in photography at university level. My work is widespread and has included everything from editorial to advertising, and studio to location over the years.
As I’m a Bridgend based wedding photographer, I’ve worked at most of the popular churches and reception venues and with lots of different wedding suppliers.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have, I’d love to hear from you.
