High Tide – Wedding Photographer Bridgend

Saturday the 6th September had me shooting the wedding photography of Angela and Ben at the high tide in Porthcawl, near Bridgend. The building is a wonderful wedding venue with impressive views of the beach outside, and panoramic vistas of local seascapes. This sort of venue makes the life of a Bridgend wedding photographer very easy indeed.

The day started with Ben at the wedding venue. We did some quick portraits of the guys with their transport (a beautiful old bus) before heading inside to wait for Ang’s arrival.

The wedding ceremony was held inside the fabulous High Tide in Porthcawl. This building is central to tourism and attractions in Porthcawl and features a fabulous fireworks display during the summer months.

After the ceremony we all headed outside for some quick wedding group shots on the patio at the front of the building. The sun shone for us, and the weather was superb. I used the sweeping sands of coney beach as a wonderful backdrop as I captured the formal photographs for the day.

As the guests returned inside into the High Tide for a drinks reception, Ang and Ben remained outside to capture some Bride & Groom portraits. Keeping it brief, we managed a selection of beautiful portraits with Ogmore By Sea in the background and coney beach proving a colourful background.

It is was lovely to work and photograph in Porthcawl. The High Tide is not a venue I work at particularly often, but as a venue it presents itself beautifully for a Bridgend and South Wales wedding at any time of year.
