On a spring day last April, I photographed the wedding of Bianca and Craig at The Barn at Brynich, in the Beacons, near Brecon. The Brecon Beacons host many great wedding venues, all of which are superb, but the Barn at Brynich, is one of the best in Wales. On offer nearby are the fantastic views, mountains and walks that make the area special.
Bianca and Craig chose to make their preparations in the Barn at Brynich, before heading over to the main hall for a civil wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we gathered the wedding guests outside for some formal group shots. As soon as the group photographs were done and dusted, the wedding guests had some drinks at the bar until it was time for the wedding breakfast. Myself and the bride and groom took the opportunity to go for a small stroll around the grounds, which provided the perfect backdrop for the lovely couple and their formal shots.
The Brecon Beacons range comprises six main peaks. These are: Corn Du (873 m or 2864 feet), Pen Y Fan, the highest peak (886 m or 2907 feet), Cribyn (795 m or 2608 feet), Fan y Big (719 m or 2359 feet), Bwlch (754 m or 2474 ft) and Waun Rydd (769 m or 2523 ft) and as such, provide a spectacular setting for wedding photography.
Finally, the guest returned for a wedding Breakfast inside the barn before partying long into the night. A great day was had by all!
As a Bridgend Wedding Photographer, it is great to have the scope to move around Wales shooting different locations and meeting the lovely people I encounter on their big day! Craig and Bianca were great on their day, and made the day a smooth one by just being themselves – happy, relaxed and in love!
