Some years ago, on a somewhat drizzly day, I photographed the wedding of Gareth and Hannah in Pyle and Porthcawl, in the Bridgend area. The church in Pyle was one of the most lovely churches I have photographed, with great light (even on a damp day!) and fabulous grounds. The Atlantic Hotel (the reception venue) is a beautiful hotel that is situated in a wonderful environment on the seafront of Porthcawl. It has spectacular views out to the Bristol Channel, and the sunsets form the balcony are to die for!

Gareth and Hannah tied the knot with a beautiful ceremony in the church,  and afterwards we gathered the wedding guests outside for some formal group shots. As soon as the group photographs were done and dusted, the wedding guests made their way to the hotel, and had some drinks at the bar until it was time for the wedding breakfast. Myself and the bride and groom took the opportunity to go to for a stroll around Porthcawl for some amazing formal shots. We used Porthcawl pier as our backdrop, which always works well and looks grand.

After our excursion to the pier, the guests enjoyed the Atlantic Hotels hospitality for a wedding Breakfast, before partying long into the night. A great day was had by all!

As a Bridgend Wedding Photographer, it is great to have the scope to move around Wales shooting different locations and meeting the lovely people I encounter on their big day! Gareth and Hannah were great on their day, and made the day a smooth one by just being themselves – happy, relaxed and in love! Contact me to find out more, and have a look at the gallery to see what I can do for you.
