Way back in 2013 I was lucky enough to photograph, and be part of a wonderful wedding day. I was hired to perform the wedding photography for Tom and Kirsty; a couple who I still remember to this day as they were so friendly and welcoming. It was a great day, that began at Kirsty’s family home with the bride to be making her preparations for the day ahead. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy, and the sun was out. It was a picture perfect day. From the re I went to the church in Caerphilly where I met Tom. He was a little nervous, but this came across in the photos in a very sweet way. He greeted his guests and I photographed all the action. A little while later, Kirsty and her bridesmaids arrived, and the ceremony got underway. It was a fabulous church to shoot in as there was plenty of light, and the service was heartfelt and warm. St Martins Church is always a venue that I love to photograph. From there we went down to Rudry Village Hall, which was a superb little venue with gorgeous views across the valley and beyond. We performed the formal shots, did a few bride and groom photos and then the day evolved into a party as the guests sat down for the wedding breakfast.
