Back in June I had the privilege of being part of the wonderful Lucy and Jonathan’s wedding day. The day started in Pencoed with Lucy and her bridesmaids getting ready. The setting was gorgeous and the weather was amazing, with sunny skies and a warm breeze. We did some lovely pre-ceremony coverage, including the dress and all the details that Lucy had put into her day. The flowers were very pretty and complimented the dress really well.
From there I travelled through Bridgend to Llanblethian, to St John the baptist church where the ceremony was to be held, and where Jonty was eagerly waiting and greeting his guests. Lucy arrived looking splendid, and the ceremony was really sweet and incredibly heartfelt. The bride and groom were fab. After the ceremony, we went across to the house to get the formal shots finished with the church and house setting a truly beautiful backdrop.
The wedding reception was held in Coed Y Mwstwr in Bridgend County. Coed Y Mwstwr is a fabulous venue, with beautiful rooms, high vantage points, lovely lawns and a tree lined driveway – perfect for wedding photography and the wedding reception itself. We arrived in boiling hot conditions, with the sun shining bright in the sky. Pimms and nibbles were served on the lawn, and the atmosphere was as dazzling as the sunshine. We did a few more formal shots on the lawns, and everyone enjoyed the sun and fun.
The bride and groom then welcomed their guests for the wedding breakfast in the main room, which was wonderfully decorated and laid out. The details and fine touches that Lucy and Jonty put into the day were most evident here, as the tables looked great. The food was amazing, and all the staff at Coed Y Mwstwr were really helpful on the day. After the food, the speeches were performed, and the best men did a very funny job. From there, day rolled into night as the evening guests arrived, first dance was done and everyone got on the dance floor.
You can see ALL the photography (nearly 650 images, the most I have ever delivered, including all the formal/couple shots) from Lucy and Jonty’s wedding day HERE, and you can also purchase prints via the link.
