In mid September I photographed the wedding of a very close friend of mine. It was a privilege to be part of James’ day, and Anne looked absolutely spectacular. The day started at the Grand Pavilion, in Porthcawl. It’s a great venue for a wedding, with big open spaces and the sea right outside the door. James arrived and greeted his guests, and Anne followed suit. She looked fabulous as she stepped from the car. The weather on the day was great, with bright sunny skies and dramatic clouds.
From there, we went in for the ceremony, which was sweet and heartfelt. The lighting was great inside the pavilion, and there were cheers and smiles all round. After the couple were wed, we performed the formal shots with the sea in the background, and then James, Anne and I went for a stroll along the seafront to use the lovely light to capture some great bride and groom shots.
After that, we sat down for the meal and speeches were given. They were superb and very emotional and sweet.
