Goodwood Revival – a world renowned event that takes you back in time, at the home of British motor racing. I was privileged to photograph this years event for The Clear Idea, in collaboration with Porsche.
The very first Revival event opened on 18 September 1998, when the Earl of March drove around the circuit in the Bristol 400 in which his grandfather, the 9th Duke of Richmond, opened the track 50 years before. It’s now the world’s most celebrated historic motor racing event, with racing fans coming from all over the country to soak up the unique atmosphere in period costume. Porsche and The Clear Idea were there this year to promote the Porsche Classic element of Porsche automotive, whereby the famous German company refurbish and renew classics from the greatest era of motoring.
The event was amazing, with some of the best motor racing on the track, and some fantastic period costumes floating around the circuit and grounds. The weather didn’t put anyone off getting sideways on the day, and it was a wonderful event to photograph.
