We will meet at a chosen location, and then use the opportunity to shoot photographs in accordance with a shot list. On the day you will learn the controls of the camera. You will learn shutter speed, aperture, ISO and a number of useful camera tricks in an outdoor environment with a professional photographer/lecturer. You also get to keep an informative handbook, with techniques and tasks to challenge you. We examine the fundamental workings of the DLSR camera, focusing upon shutter speed, aperture and ISO. We learn the relationships between these functions, and offer understanding as to how they can be used to make your pictures better. We will then move on to using the camera in creative ways, in relation to forming a keen sense of photographic composition. This is a great session for any level of ability, but would suit people wanting to learn their way around a new camera, those wanting to improve upon existing knowledge, or those who simply want to be a better photographer.
