The wedding day of Jessica and Richard was beautiful. Set in the wonderful Hitchin Priory, the day started with detail shots in and around the venue. It has been set up beautifully, with gorgeous details in every corner. After I had captured some of the details I took the short drive to Richard and Jess’ house to photograph the gentlemen getting ready. The atmosphere was charged with expectancy, and Richard and his best man and ushers were on fine form. I captured some shots around the house, and once everyone was ready we went out and got some shots of all the men together.
From there, I headed back to Hitchin Priory to photograph Jess’ preparations. Jess looked spectacular in her dress and we got some great shots as the ceremony time drew closer. Everyone then ascended the steps to the main room, where Richard had arrived and was waiting for his bride to be.
The ceremony was lovely, and the room was full full of fabulous natural light. Jess and Richard walked down the aisle and they went back downstairs to mingle with guests and receive congratulations. We then went outside to shoot some gorgeous formal shots and bride and groom portraits. The light was great, and weather held out for us, even if it was a little blustery! After that, the guests ate, speeches were given, the drinks flowed, the cake was cut and everyone had an amazing time. It was a special day, and one that will stand out for me this year.
Congrats to the beautiful bride and wonderful groom – you were both so friendly and welcoming on your day, and the imagery really reflects how fab you both are.
