What can one say about this wedding day? Other than it was amazing…
It was an absolute treat to photograph for Amy and Paul on their wonderful day… and a truly great day it was. Close friends and family, great food, drinks, dancing, laughter and good music. It was a beautiful day. My day started with Paul getting ready in Hotel Du Vin, and the ushers and best man were there to help keep the atmosphere funny and light. The room was beautiful, with exceptional light and decoration. From there I went to Amy and Pauls house, where the Amy and girls were making their preparations. Make up was in full flow and the atmosphere was full of expectation for what was to come. Amy looked spectacular.
After the prep, we went on to the ceremony venue – Henley town hall. It is a beautiful place to get married. It’s a magnificent building and the hall is perfect for a wedding day. It was fabulous, and even though the weather was against us, guests were in great spirits and an energy filled the room. Paul and his best man Andrew stood and waited for the brides arrival. As Amy arrived, Pauls reaction as he turned around was amazing. He was totally struck by how gorgeous Amy looked. The ceremony was heartfelt, relaxed and funny.
After the ceremony we did the group and formal shots inside the town hall. From there, we all jumped in a vintage bus and rolled down to the Little Angel pub for the reception. Once there, the wonderful bride and groom mingled, then they sat for the meal and speeches. The speeches were super, and as the day became night and the wedding turned into a party, with live music, drinks and dancing. Because the weather was under par on the day, then next morning we descended on the river and achieved some lovely shots of the newlyweds.
Congrats to the amazing bride and groom – you’re awesome, and the imagery really reflects you both so well.
