004We will meet outside the visitor centre, and then use the opportunity to shoot some

landscape/nature/flora/flower photography in accordance with a shot list. As a group, we will walk around the beautiful gardens, and under guidance and tutorship you will shoot specific genres of photography and learn the controls of the camera. You will learn shutter speed, aperture, ISO and a number of useful camera tricks in an outdoor environment with a professional photographer/lecturer. You also get to keep an informative handbook, with techniques and tasks to challenge you. We examine the fundamental workings of the DLSR camera, focusing upon shutter speed, aperture and ISO. We learn the relationships between these functions, and offer understanding as to how they can be used to make your pictures better. We will then move on to using the camera in creative ways, in relation to forming a keen sense of photographic composition.  This is a great session for any level of ability, but would suit people wanting to learn their way around a new camera, those wanting to improve upon existing knowledge, or those who simply want to be a better photographer. Even as a group, there is a substantial amount of one to one with the tutor.
